WORKING AT THE FRONTIER OR INTERACTIVE AND IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE DESIGN

At Making Immersive we create extraordinary immersive and interactive experiences that engage customers and bring brands to life.

WHAT WE DO IN A NUTSHELL

We are an industry-leading immersive design studio that uses a multi-disciplinary design process to create experiences that bring brands and businesses to life.  Built and perfected in-house, we provide everything needed for partners to stand out from the crowd with highly engaging experiences that are scalable and have replicable results.

With an easy licensing system, custom technology and fully supported products, our success is measured in the business success of our partners.

Making Immersive offers unique interactive and immersive experiences to help your business win more happy customers.

LITTLE BIT OF OUR STORY

Making Immersive (MI) was born out of a desire to create.

Founded by four siblings – Matt, Simon, Giovanna and Paul Shakhovskoy – Making Immersive found its’ origins in a creative collaboration that quickly led to the establishment of the largest escape room in Brisbane. Building on the success of this first venture, the founder team turned their attention to other formats, rapidly developing a new genre of interactive entertainment and learning experiences that quickly found a following through Directors of the Extraordinary.

Experimenting broadly with a range of intricate learning programs such as gamifying a major pharmaceutical conference, sophisticated team building simulations and surprising new takes on traditional experiences such as wine tasting, our story is captured in what we have created.

What we discovered along the way is a genuine belief that there is virtually no people-centric business, learning or entertainment challenge that can’t be solved by smart interaction design. The business that emerged is both complex and simple:

  • Creating extraordinary experiences through our multidisciplinary Design Lab
  • Refining a range of packaged and custom experiences in-house
  • Extending access to some of this magic through our growing network of licensing partners, and
  • Finding every opportunity to continue to challenge the conventional and bring a little more magic to people’s experiences of work, learning and play.

Our Vision:

The industry-leading immersive design studio creating extraordinary interactive experiences to engage customers and bring brands to life.

Gami’fi-cation, noun

The application of typical elements of game play, theatre and storytelling for extraordinary engagement, learning and shared moments of discovery.

From passive to active participants

Immersing customers, staff and students in personalised, interactive, engaging experiences that take them from passive observers to active participants is the new frontier.

Today, putting people in the centre of an experience is the secret sauce to creating organic engagement and social media shares, and cements learning retention. Interactive experiences give you the power to activate your brand and change how your people work, learn and play.

“Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”

~ Benjamin Franklin

OUR MISSION

We make epic interactive and immersive experiences in a variety of accessible formats that shape expectations of how people engage with brands and content.  Perfected in house, we are relentless in making extraordinary experiences available to forward-thinking companies ready to engage their clients in extraordinary ways.

For far too long, there’s been too much talk of innovative approaches to activating team building, learning, venues and entertainment, but rarely has anyone delivered something truly different. We take our commitment to delivering something better very seriously.  Frankly, we’re deeply unsatisfied if we’re doing something someone else has already done. That innovative thinking drives our business forward – creating new ways for teams to connect through discovery and fun.
